Whether the Internship is the beginning of your career or a new chapter in it, our goals for you remain the same; to be your partner in career success.

We believe that your joining the firm is not only a reflection of your past dedication to high academic and professional performance but also a reflection that our organization is a home for dynamic, engaged professionals like you. We seek the best possible candidates because you are able to provide the best possible service to our clients in creative and effective ways. We provide an environment of experience and knowledge that develops confident and strong professionals and grows them into the highest ability leaders.   Firmwide dedication to development and experience are hallmarks of our culture and the foundations of our firm’s success.

The SBC Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship hosted by SBC at our Headquartered Office. The purpose is to provide future members of the accounting industry a comprehensive experience of the operations, client experiences and firm life as a certified public accounting firm.

Interns may be assigned to work on assignments that are either client based or internally based.  During the summer months, our program provides interns with real work experience.  The program will introduce interns to key firm practices and required knowledge with industry standard training, opportunities to apply learned skills with a variety of client interactions and assignments, and, give insight to firm culture and life with social, community and team activities.

During the internship, each intern is assigned a schedule that will allow them to work on several different client types, utilizing different skill sets that will be developed during the training, including government auditing, nonprofit auditing, and, auditing of employee benefit plans. Client assignments range in duration, from one or two days to up to several weeks.  As teams work together, interns have an opportunity to make great connections with the employees who they work with at these client locations and potential future colleagues.

During the summer, several social and community events will be held, including sporting events, team-building activities, and community-based charitable events.
