- Audit Manager (PDF)
- The primary responsibility for a
firm’s practice rests with the partners, and the assignment of
managers to engagements enables partners to serve a larger number of
clients effectively. Managers must have a complete knowledge of the
firm’s philosophy and be conversant with its reports, its
letters relating to matters of policy and its opinions on financial
matters. Managers must maintain and develop expertise in the
profession. To make broad decisions in the course of their work,
managers must be knowledge of the general economic and political
trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect the
business climate. Managers are the liaison between the partners, the
client and the professional staff, and are generally responsible for
all phases of an engagement
- Audit Senior (PDF)
- The Audit Senior reports to the
industry or office Principal in Charge to general employment matters
and to the Account Manager/Principal relative to matters pertaining
to specific engagements. The Audit Senior must exhibit high
standards of professional and social ethics and must accept full
responsibility as the in-charge accountant for engagements of varying
size and complexity to include, planning and coordinating the various
phases of the field work, directing and reviewing the work of a
number of assistants, and making decisions on all but the most
unusual accounting and auditing matters. To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily.
- Staff Auditor (PDF)
- The Staff Auditor is given a wide
variety of diversified accounting and tax assignments under the
supervision of different professionals. Performance is judged based
on the quality of work, application of accounting knowledge, and
ability to meet time constraints.
